Figma multiplayer: one file, two hundred editors

How a design tool lets up to 500 people edit one file at once: one owner server per file that holds it in memory and orders every property change, last-writer-wins per property, optimistic edits that never flicker, an outbox and a fenced journal so nothing anyone saw is lost, and cursors on their own cheap, lossy path.
