One equals sign blocks every back-to-back meeting
transcript
One equals sign can block every back-to-back meeting in the office. The overlap test is one line. It's easy to get wrong.
A meeting from 10 to 11 includes 10. But not 11. So the next team can walk in at 11. No clash.
Test one: less-or-equal. Now 11 to 12 clashes with A. Test two: does B start inside A? Then 9:00 to 13:00 swallows A, unseen. Test three: does A contain B? 10:30 to 11:30 slips through.
The right test: each starts before the other ends. S1 less than e2. And s2 less than e1. Strictly.
Run it. Back-to-back first: is 11 less than 11? No. No clash. Both teams share the room, one after the other. The swallow: 9 is before 11, and 10 is before 13. Clash caught.
Two meetings overlap when each starts before the other ends. That one line is where this round is won or lost.
